Desk Copies

This website is dedicated exclusively to Macmillan’s trade books. Macmillan is pleased to provide complimentary desk copies of any adopted trade title published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux; Hill & Wang; North Point Press; Faber & Faber; Henry Holt; Metropolitan Books; Times Books; Picador; St. Martin’s Press Trade; St. Martin’s Griffin; Tor/Forge; and Golden Guides from St. Martin’s Press. Also available are selected titles from our distributed publishers, including Graywolf Press, Drawn & Quarterly, Bloomsbury USA, Harriman House, Page Two, and Sounds True. One desk copy is available for every twenty copies ordered. All requests are subject to availability and approval.

Please send requests via email from an institutional email account to academic@macmillan.com; or on school letterhead or standard AAP form via fax to 609-409-0298 or via postal mail to Macmillan Academic Marketing, 120 Broadway, New York, NY 10271. Please provide a campus mailing address and include the course number and title (e.g. English 101), estimated enrollment, and bookstore contact information. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Not valid for addresses outside the United States.

Desk copies of adopted titles may also be ordered online.

Examination Copies

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, please write to academic@macmillan.com to request examination copies. Please note that all examination copy requests are subject to availability and approval.

Examination copies are available to instructors seeking titles to consider for course adoption.

Requests must be made in writing on school letterhead stating the title and ISBN of the book and the name and anticipated enrollment of the course. Please provide a campus mailing address. The charge for examination copies is a flat fee of $5.00 per title. Please make checks or money orders payable to Macmillan. Please send requests to Macmillan Academic Marketing, 120 Broadway, 26th Floor, New York, NY 10271. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. All requests are subject to availability and approval. Alternate Media for Students with Print Disabilities

To request an adopted book in an electronic format for a student with a print disability, the student’s campus disability services office may contact Macmillan by e-mail at accessibility@macmillanusa.com. If an electronic format is not available, the publisher will provide a copy of the book to be scanned for the student. Please verify that the student has purchased a copy of the book.
